Details of experience:
08:30 am: Drive Hue to Quang Tri (80 minutes)
Let's start the trip to the Demilitarized Military Zone in Quang Tri Province from your hotel in Hue City. We drive through the green countryside and rice fields along the roads.
10:00 am: Visit Quang Tri Old Citadel (30 minutes to visit)
This place used to be vital during the Vietnam War; typically, in 1972, considerable fighting happened here. It suffered plenty of bombs damaging almost all the constructions inside it.
10:40 am: Stop at Long Hung Church (5 minutes for photos)
This ancient church carries many bullet holes in its walls. This proof tells that war can destroy everything, everyone, and any religion.
11:30 am: Explore Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River (30 minutes)
The region is considered DMZ to divide the country into two parts during the Vietnam War. Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River have become essential relics for almost all of the people of Vietnam.
12:25 pm: Rest at Vinh Moc area (15 minutes)
After driving to Vinh Moc tunnels, we rest for a coffee or soft drinks and use the "happy room."
12:40 pm: Explore Vinh Moc Tunnels (30 mintues)
Go on the paths under bamboo trees to one of the thirteen gates of the tunnel system.
We go down narrow lanes to see underground life with the small sections for families, meeting rooms, etc.
01:15 pm - 3:30 pm: Drive back to Hue City
After visiting the tunnels, our journey returns to Hue City. Finish the DMZ program.
