Vong Canh Hill

About 7km west of Hue city center, Vong Canh Hill lies on the southern bank of the poetic Huong River. All year round, the shade of green pine trees is extremely peaceful and romantic.

As its name is Vong Canh Hill, this address has become a familiar meeting place for the Hue people. They come here whenever they want to find a perfect space to admire the charming mountains and rivers or sit quietly with a loved one to soothe the dust of urban life.

Coming to Vong Canh Hill, we can hear the rustling of leaves and the chirping of birds calling each other from branch to branch. Interspersed with that is the soft whispering of a young couple in love.

Looking a little further, you will see a couple of boats leisurely going up and down. In the distance, you can see the hills and mountains. The faint roofs of houses evoke the joy of reunion.

In particular, the purple watchtower stands out in the middle of the pine forest's green space. The tower is made of steel, tall and sturdy, and covered with impressive purple paint.

Standing on the top of the tower, you can look out over the rolling hills, following the gentle flow of the Perfume River. When reaching the end of the viewpoint, Hue City gathers in your eyes, forming a beautiful and gentle urban picture.

The tower is relatively high, so when climbing the tower, remember to pay attention to safety. Handheld devices such as phones and cameras need to be carefully protected to avoid unfortunate falls and breakage.

The best time for sightseeing activities here is at sunset, when gentle sunlight spreads across the sparkling river surface, making the sun glow red like the silk ribbon of a mountain fairy. On the other side of the bank, someone's kitchen smoke drifts through the bamboo grove as if carrying the flavor of a happy dinner far away.

In addition, visiting Vong Canh Hill in the early morning is also fantastic. This is the right time for you to order a cup of coffee, sit, and sip the sweet aroma of the mountains and forests under the green pine canopy, slowly watch each ray of sunlight filtering through the leaves, or enjoy the gentle breeze blowing through the pine hills.

This moment is truly one of the exciting experiences of the trip to the beautiful city of Hue.

Safety note for you: Be careful when enjoying the scenery at the foot of the hill, adjacent to the riverbank. At the same time, avoid activities such as running, jumping, and pushing in this area. Because the terrain here is steep, no railings or protective fences have been built. Therefore, being careful will help you avoid some unnecessary dangerous situations.
